Stephanie J. Ortiz, 57, August 18, 2019, lifelong resident of Chicago. Beloved wife of Pedro; loving mother of Stephanie Pappas; cherished grandmother of Joshua, Jacob and Lilliana; devoted daughter of Alice Duvall; dearest sister of Earlene (Allen) Richer, Michelle Pappas, Rosanne Poorman (Louie), Elizabeth (Michael) Marcink, the late Dennis (the late Denise) Booker and the late Stephan Pappas; fond aunt and great aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Stephanie was a loving, empathetic and intuitive person, always sensing her loved ones needs even before they knew it themselves. She was the rock of the family and with her heart of gold, gave fully of herself to all those she loved. A talented singer, Stephanie loved singing and dancing and her favorite go to foods were lobster and pizza with pineapple on it.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, from 3 to 6 p.m. Cremation following. Please omit flowers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org.
