Obituary for Virginia Elizabeth Wolniak

Virginia Elizabeth Wolniak (Dybicz)
78, lifelong resident of Chicago-Clearing neighborhood, passed away October 19, 2022.

Devoted wife of 58 years to Charles Wolniak Sr., loving mother of Charles Jr.(Alane) Wolniak, Ken (JoAnn) Wolniak, and John (Tricia) Wolniak; cherished grandmother of the late Charles “Charlie” , John Jr., Jacob, Joseph, Nathan, and Skyler Safi; dearest sister of the late Albert (LaVerne) Dybicz, late Aloysius (late Dolores) Dybicz, and the late Edward Dybicz; also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Elizabeth Dybicz (Baniewicz).

Virginia had a strong commitment to her Catholic faith. She was an active member and Eucharistic minister at St. Symphorosa Church. She was part of the Altar and Rosary Club and Super Club. Virgina was a volunteer for the Clearing Night Force, an organization to ensure safety in the community. Some of Virginia’s favorite past times included fishing and playing scrabble with family and friends. Most of all Virginia’s family was her pride and joy! She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, who will be forever remembered for her kind generosity and loving nature. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and never forgotten.

Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, October 25, 2022 9:15 a.m. at Chapel. Funeral Mass, 10 a.m. St. Symphorosa Church, 6135 S. Austin Ave, Chicago. Burial Resurrection
