Obituary for Yuriko Hatada

Yuriko Hatada, 68, originally from Fukuoka, Japan, longtime resident of the South Side of Chicago, passed on January 11, 2022. Loving mother of Rebecca Dempsey, Elena Gentil, and Suzuyo Gentil; cherished grandmother of Jasmine Delgado, Ernesto Delgado, Isaiah Gentil, Carlos Diaz, and Myleena Gentil and treasured great-grandmother of Isabella Delgado; dearest sister of Catherine DeCamp; fond aunt of Mike (Lynn) DeCamp and great-aunt of Collin DeCamp, Alessia DeCamp, Rebecca DeCamp and Tommy DeCamp.

Yuriko was an avid baseball, and Chicago White Sox fan! She loved going to Sox games, eating at her favorite restaurants, reading, watching her favorite television shows, and listening to country music. She also enjoyed local trips to the casinos, but most of all she adored spending time with her family!
Yuriko will always be remembered for her kind heart and selflessness, as she touched so many; she will truly be missed, but her love will live on forever through all her loved ones.

Services will be held at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 3 to 8 p.m. Prayer Service 7:30 p.m. Cremation will follow in accordance with Yuriko’s wishes. For those attending services, MASKS REQUIRED.
