James W. Daly, Sr., 93, January 7, 2018, dearly beloved husband of the late Rose Godfrey Daly; devoted father of Martin (Maureen) Daly, James W. (Eileen) Daly, Jr., Michael (Joan) Daly, late John (Sheila) Daly, Timothy (Maureen) Daly, late Daniel Daly, Mary Rose (William) Schillo, and Sally Daly Hunt (Patrick); cherished grandfather of Kathleen, Martin, James, Brendan, Elizabeth, Ryan, Kevin, Stephanie, Meghan, Daniel, Conor, Michael, Maggi, Katherine, Patrick, Brian, Daniel, Colleen, and James; fond great grandfather of 23; dear brother of the late Martin and late Joseph Daly.
World War II veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. Plumber for the City of Chicago Water Department for 32 years. Proud member of Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130, United Association. Proud to have hailed from Vis (Visitation Parish and Garfield Boulevard).
Visitation Friday, Jan. 12, 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at CURLEY FUNERAL HOME, 6116 W. 111th St., Chicago Ridge. Funeral Mass following, 11 a.m. at St. Christina Church, 3334 W. 111th St., Chicago Services will conclude at church with military honors by the U.S. Navy. Private Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
