Bom-Wrapper

The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Courtney Donnell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Friendship

I met Courtney in Florence in the summer of 1966 when she was on a Wellesley program with one of her professors, Curtis Schell. I painted a very large painting that included a self -portrait,  then Courtney  the largest figure in the group, then several Italian friends, with a view of Florence in the background. I am happy to see the photo of Courtney in front of the painting, which she bought many years later.

Regrettably, I was only in touch infrequently over the years, seeing her several times here in Cambridge, and a  nice conversation by telephone several years ago. She was kindly quiet person and good company. I was pleased for her when she was the curator of the Albright exhibit, and regret the exhibit did not travel to Boston, when we would have had a chance to visit and to hear about this remarakable artist

I send my sympathy to her family and friends .  Joseph Barbieri
