Bernice Pikus,, nee Ludwik, 89, May 5, 2014, lifetime resident of the Southwest side of Chicago-Clearing neighborhood, beloved wife of Val Pikus; devoted mother of Ronald (Christine) Pikus and Roy (Jeanne) Pikus; loving grandmother of Jeffrey and Kari Pikus, Jamie (Amer) Ghafari and Ryan (Lucia) Pikus; fond great grandmother of Evelyn Markham and Leigha Ghafari; dear sister of Jodi Hulick. Preceded in death by parents and six siblings. Longtime member of St. Symphorosa Altar & Rosary Society and Past President of St. Symphorosa Super Club. Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, on Thursday, May 8, 2 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, May 9, 8:45 a.m. at chapel, to St. Symphorosa Church. Mass 9:30 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Symphorosa Parish, 6135 S. Austin Ave., Chicago, IL 60638.
