My mother never wavered from her devotion to her family. She left her homeland in search of a better life for us. As a parent, now I fully realize what an incredible woman she was. I was a frequent victim of bullying as a child but I could always count on my mother to advocate for me. She wiped away every tear and gave me the courage to endure. My heart is broken but I know she is where she belongs, reunited with her mother and father and enjoying the presence of God.
