With deepest condolences, my heart, thoughts and prayers go out to the Kirk family. I knew Dayna when she was much younger back in Hawkins, TX. She was wonderfully mature and poised and beautiful and funny and smart and all that. I can only surmise she set the world on fire with her brief stay here. Her parents, both of whom I had the pleasure of being taught by, give one much insight as to why Dayna is such an incredible person. My the Lord provide you with peace and comfort in your loss.

I knew Dayna for a long time, and did not know of any struggles. She was a very beautiful person, outside and inside, and I always felt a special spiritual quality in her. I will keep warmest memories of times we shared.

I knew when I met you that you would not be with me for a long period of time. I had a choice to not become a friend or go through the struggles you were facing and knowing that I would lose you. You tried everything, girlfriend. I have never witnessed anyone who had such a great attitude and enjoyed every minute of the good parts of life without complaining, but being openly honest about your circumstances until the end with the most incredible dignity. You made me a better person, taught me about Robuchon mashed potatoes and font spacing. I know how much you loved the pool and the exercise, how it took you away from your troubles just like me. I never knew how much your loss would affect me. I knew three years ago, but I cannot stop grieving your loss. I am so happy that Jay was with you during your last days. He exhibited the most kind, loving and protective behavior that your certainly deserved. I am only sorry that I did not look after him more, but I know his focus was on you. The day you passed was brutally foggy in the morning and the sun later came out. I said to my husband, "Dayna has died and gone to heaven" or in my world to nirvana. The struggle is over and I am so sad to lose you, but the struggle you put up was more than I would wish or could even do for myself. You are missed by so many people, you brought knowledge and fun to my days and an incredible friendship which I will miss the most. Can't believe you are gone, thought it would be easier, but losing you is very painful. So glad you are at peace. Lots of love Dayna. Ann Marie
