Edward K. Touhy, 89, Passed away February 15, 2014, U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II, Beloved husband and best friend of 59 years to Mary Touhy, nee Morley. Loving father of Mary Kay (Jeff) Silverman, Patricia and Edward (Mary Pat) Touhy. Cherished Grandfather of Patrick, Mariclare and Moira. Fond brother of the late John (Therese) Touhy and late Thomas (Mary Kay) Touhy. Retired employee of Illinois Bell Telephone Company after 35 years of service. Family and friends will gather Saturday, February 22, at St. Alexander Church, 7025 West 126th Street, Palos Heights for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Military honors with entombment at following, 12:30 p.m., at Holy Sepulchre Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Alzheimer's Association at 8430 West Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631, www.alz.org/illinois/ , greatly appreciated. Arrangements by JAMES R.
