Obituary for Eleuterio T. Reyes

Eleuterio T. Reyes
Eleuterio “Teyo” Teron-Reyes, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away in the presence of his daughter and son-in-law in the morning hours of January 8, 2016 after many years of illness.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Rosa “Rosita” Reyes and his beloved son, Eleuterio, Jr..

His legacy lives on in the hearts and minds of his loving daughters, Carmen Trinidad and Iraida Rodriguez, as well as his loving son-in-laws, Pedro Trinidad and Jesse Rodriguez. He was also dearly loved by his five grandchildren: David and Gabriel; Peter, Cynthia, and Michael, as well as his four great-grandchildren: Julian and Jessica; Sarah and Andrew.

Born March 5, 1925, a longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago, he was a hard worker and held many occupations including: labor worker, landlord and business man for over 40 years. In his long life, he was full of humor and made light of every situation. Until the end at age 90, his witty personality still shined as he still joked around and made us laugh. His love of travel and exercise was his favorite activities in his life. He also enjoyed reading a multitude of books, playing table games, and listening to talk shows that helped keep his mind sharp.

He gave his life to the Lord and graciously served him for over 30 years with his loving wife. They were both faithfilled members of Trinity Baptist Church. Although we celebrate his long life, he will be dearly missed by his family and friends. May he rest in peace.
