Fred P.  Centano
Fred P. Centano, 93, September 8, 2017, of Island Lake, IL, former longtime resident of the southwest side of Chicago, dearly beloved husband of Marilyn Tafel Centano; devoted father of Michael (Veronica) Velazquez and Ronald Velazquez; loving grandfather of Xavier and Michael Velazquez, Ronald, Kathryn, Kimberly, Robert, Roger and Krystal Velazquez; great grandfather of Xavier Velazquez, Jr. and Aracely Velazquez; fond son of the late Fred and Lillian Nunciato Centano.

Fred proudly served his country during World War II and the Korean War in the United States Army. He retired from Federal Signal after 44 years as a truck driver.

Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 12, from 3 to 8 p.m. Private Graveside Service, military honors and burial, Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
