George Grzenia, 79, October 13, 2014, originally of Bridgeport, 50 year resident of the southwest side of Chicago, beloved husband of Marie, nee DeRoss; devoted father of Karen Grzenia and Stephen Grzenia; loving grandfather of Alexander, Stephen and Maria Grzenia; dear brother of John (Patricia) Grzenia, Edward (late Marilyn) Grzenia, LeRoy (Susan) Haffner, Joanie (Melvin Kreul) Haffner, Loral (Alan) Wells, Al (Roseann) Haffner, Jr., and the late Francis “Pete” Grzenia; fond brother in law of the late Joseph (late Darlene) DeRoss; dear uncle, great uncle and loving cousin of many. Proud veteran of U.S. Army, having served in Korea. Resting at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, IL, on Thursday, October 16, from 3 to 9 p.m. Funeral Friday, October 17, 9:45 a.m. at chapel, to St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 6435 S. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago.
