It was the season of 2015, a year had passed since our very memorable Championship season that will go down in the books as the Oak Lawn Pinto Cubs win the World Series in 2014, with the help of our honorary Coach John Fitzgerald. We were on a losing streak, just couldn't find the motivation, or shake off the bad luck. Coach Fitz decides to surprise us at a night game and kids can't believe their eyes. "We have to win tonight", and like something you only read in a story book, the boys give it their all, as Coach Fitz yells out to them from behind the catcher's mound on the other side of the fence. Calling them all by their nick names, that he gave them, and reminding them to smile. We win! And Coach Fitz joins us for our first win of the season, and all in the world was perfect, It was like magic when he showed up on the field, and the boys told him he had to come to all the games so they could do it all over again. This picture was taken on that magical night. We will never forget it...we will never forget our honorary Coach John Fitzgerald.
