The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Nancy Kurtz can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Nancy History

Nancy was the beloved daughter of William Kurtz and Mary (Salac) Kurtz of Evergreen Park and Palos Park, Illinois.  She was a graduate of Evergreen Park High School and Augustana College.  Her major was music, and her life's career was teaching music in the Chicago Public Schools, most recently,Curie High School.

She is survived by her husband, Walter Cochran; brother, Bill Kurtz; uncle, Thomas Salac; and many cousins.  Nancy spent many summers traveling to exotic places around the world often accompanied by her dear nephew-in-spirit, Dylan.  Wherever she went, she brought energy, enthusiasm, and cheer.
