Theresa G. Sylvester, 71,September 28, 2015, lifetime Chicagoan, formerly of West Side-Little Italy neighborhood. Dearly beloved wife of the late Richard J. Sylvester, Sr. Loving mother of Susan (Jesus) Salinas; Jennifer (Steve) Jones, Richard (Brenda) Sylvester and Daniel (Susi) Sylvester. Adoring grandmother of 15 and great grandmother of 3. Dear sister of Joseph (late Linda) Kiepura. Cherished niece, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Also a very dear, second mom to so many. Preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Genevieve Papuga Kiepura.
Theresa was a friendly, familiar face for 15 years as an account representative and teller at Bridgeport Savings, later St. Paul Federal Savings Bank, 35th & Wallace.
Services at CENTRAL CHAPEL, 6158 S. Central Ave., Chicago, where family and friends will gather on Friday, Oct. 2, from 2 to 9 p.m. Family and friends will gather directly at St. Barbara Church, 2859 S. Throop St., Chicago, on Saturday, Oct. 3, for Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. Entombment Resurrection Cemetery-Garden Mausoleum, Justice, IL.
