Rudolph "Uncle Rudy" Zurita, 85, September 1, 2014, longtime resident of the west side of Chicago, Pilsen neighborhood; devoted son of the late Tomas and Estefana Martinez Zurita; beloved friend and companion of 60 years to the late Victoria Compos-Caudillo and her children; loving brother of Manuel Zurita and the late Mauricia Concepcion Martinez, Tomas Zurita, Jr., and Gilbert Zurita; dear uncle to Rudolph "Rudy" Zurita and the late Manuel Zurita, Jr. and the many nieces and nephews in CA, TX, AZ, DC. Proud, loyal, and friendly, "Uncle Rudy" was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in the Korean War.

Visitation Friday, September 26 at St. Procopius Church, 1641 S. Allport St., Chicago, from 9 a.m. until Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Military Honors and Burial, 1:45 p.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Arrangements by CENTRAL CHAPELS.
