A Real Gentleman

I am so sorry to read of the passing of Clarence"Red" Johnson. As the dean of the Tabor School of Business,at Millikin University, I had the priviledge of working with and for a number of very fine trustees. None was any more considerate or helpful than Red, as he once asked me to call him. He was quick to offer a most useful suggestion and a helping hand. He once did a me a very kind service, spending a summer afternoon, telling me candidly what I needed to do to have his fellow trustees view my performance as being improved. I always will appreciate his business knowledge and his willingness to give Millikin, the Tabor School and me the best of it. Lucky are those of us who were there since we seldom will meet a one of his kind again.
